2. What we do, and what we don’t

We act as an intermediary. We prepare your document in the format the operator needs and order the sending from the operator of the option you choose. The licensed operator provides the postal service: it admits the letter, delivers it and issues the proof of delivery and the certified content in its own name.

  • Correos burofax: a Correos Burofax Premium Online with acuse de recibo (proof of delivery) and copia certificada (certified copy).
  • Certified notification: a notification by Notificados, a trusted third party, with proof of delivery and a certificate of content. It is not a Correos burofax.

We are not a law firm. We check that the letter is ready to send (complete recipient details, page count and layout), but we don’t judge whether its content is right or sufficient for your case.

3. Your document

You write or approve every word, and you are responsible for the content and for the recipient’s details. We don’t send unlawful content, threats or documents that impersonate someone else. If we refuse a letter for those reasons, we refund you in full.

4. Price and payment

  • Correos burofax: €39.90 for up to 3 pages; each extra page €2.00, up to 10.
  • Certified notification: €19.90 for up to 3 pages; each extra page €1.00, up to 10.

Prices are final and include taxes. You see the exact total before paying. You pay by card through Stripe when you confirm the order.

5. Timing

We hand your document to the operator within 24 working hours of payment (Spanish working days, Monday to Friday, excluding national holidays). Delivery time depends on the operator. Every status change shows on your tracking page.

6. Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you usually have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Under article 103(a) of Spain’s consumer protection act (TRLGDCU), which implements article 16(a) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, that right does not apply to a service that has been fully performed, if performance began with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you lose the right once it is fully performed.

So on the payment page we ask you to tick a box, unticked by default, so that we can send your letter straight away. The service is fully performed when the operator admits the letter. If you ask us to cancel before that, we refund you in full.

7. If something goes wrong

  • If we fail to send your letter for a reason on our side, we refund you in full.
  • A recipient who is absent, doesn’t collect it, refuses it or is unknown at the address you gave is not a failure of the service: the operator records it on the proof of delivery, and that is evidence of the attempt.
  • If the operator loses or misdelivers the letter, we claim on your behalf under its terms and pass on whatever we recover.

8. Liability

We are responsible for preparing and sending your document with due care. We are not responsible for its legal effect or the outcome of your claim. Except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to what you paid for the letter. Nothing here limits your statutory consumer rights.

9. Personal data

We process your data and the recipient’s as described in the privacy policy.

10. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by [GOVERNING LAW]. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of your country of residence still protect you and you may go to the courts where you live. Before that, write to burofax@onmax.me and we will try to sort it out.
